Nipissing students bring innovation to North Bay’s fire hydrant inspections
GeneralThree students from Nipissing University’s Environment & Sustainability Post-Baccalaureate program recently presented their work on a geospatial interface for the City of North Bay’s fire hydrant inspections during a special event at City Hall. During the program, they acquired skills in geospatial technologies (GIS, GPS, Remote Sensing), an entirely new area for them given their diverse scientific backgrounds. -

My NipissingThis panel approaches the question of how we Create the North (and Canada, its reflection) through literature, visual art and poetry. Using the familiar metaphor of exploration in and of Canada, the panelists consider how identity changes environment and environment changes identity, with examples drawn from painting, photography, poetry and pedagogy. -

Calliope Loukidelis Memorial Scholarship
Administered by the Canadian Federation of University Women and is funded by the Loukidelis family in memory of Mrs. Loukidelis, a charter member of CFUW North Bay. It is awarded to the female student graduating with the highest overall average from one of North Bay's five secondary schools who will be attending Nipissing University who also demonstrates financial need and is a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
