As a service to students, Nipissing University offers students the opportunity to make equal tuition payments on their account throughout each semester with bi-weekly or monthly instalments. This flexible option will be available to students who submit their payment plan request form prior to the tuition deadline for each term.
The Finance Office will respond to a student payment plan submission by email only, providing an equal payment instalment schedule for the term based on the information submitted. All payment plans will be established with equal payment amounts spread over the semester, and with a pre-defined payment date for all students.
Students are responsible to make their payments on time each month. If a scheduled instalment payment is late, students will be subject to a late service fee of 1.5% compounded monthly (19.56% annual rate). Nipissing University reserves the right to de-register any student from current or future courses, without notice, if they are in default. It is the student’s responsibility to notify Nipissing University, Finance Department, of any changes to a payment plan; changes are subject to approval only. The current posted refund schedule will apply to all changes made on any student account.
Payment can be made in person at the Finance Office-F216, or through their financial institutions Online Banking- Bill payment service. The Finance Office is open Monday though Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.
- Add “Nipissing University” as a Payee under the Pay Bills section of your online bank account
- Use your 7-digit student number (starting with the zero) as the account number (do not include the letter)
- Pay the amount due and remember to please allow 2-3 business days for the money to be received to your student account. *Important as to not miss your payment deadline*
A Financial Restriction will be placed on student accounts while registered for the payment plan until all term fees are paid in full. This restriction will prevent students from accessing transcripts, viewing grades, registering for future classes, receiving their degree, or being recommended to OCT. Students will have access to Blackboard and other academic related communication required for their courses.
