Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements

Year 1 Consecutive / Year 5 Concurrent

All candidates in years one or five of the BEd program must provide a current (issue date of April 1, 2019, or later) Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) to the Practicum Office by noon on August 22, 2019. Failure to do so will result in a $75 late fee and the possible cancellation of the practicum. Cancelled practicum must be made up in its entirety and will be rescheduled at the discretion of the Practicum Office, causing a delay in program completion/graduation. A $425 administrative fee will apply in these cases. Exceptions to the deadline will not be made.

Teacher candidates assigned to one of the following school boards must follow the processes outlined below:

The Practicum Office must have all Police Vulnerable Sector Checks (PVSC) by noon on August 22, 2019.

All candidates in years two or six of the BEd program must provide a copy/scan/fax of their current (issue date of May 1, 2019 or later) Police Vulnerable Sector Check to the Practicum Office by noon on September 20, 2019. Failure to do so will result in a $75 late fee and the possible cancellation of the fall practicum block. Cancelled practicum must be made up in its entirety and will be rescheduled at the discretion of the Practicum Office, causing a delay in program completion/graduation. A $425 administrative fee will apply in these cases. Exceptions to the deadline will not be made.
