Lawlor Award - in Memory of Mr. F.M. O'Leary
Awarded annually to a deserving student enrolled in the Honours Sociology program at Nipissing University, who is proceeding from fourth year to graduate school. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Students are nominated by their department.

Ina Hutchison Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student entering third or fourth year of a Geography major with a minimum sessional average of 80% on 30 credits taken in the fall/winter session of second year. The recipient is selected by the Geography department. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

David Cybulski Memorial Award
Established in memory of David Cybulski by his friends and family. David was a third year Environmental Science Physical Geography major who co-founded the Environmental Action Committee on campus. This award is presented to an upper year student in an Environmental program, with preference to students in the Environmental Science Physical Geography or Bachelor of Science Environmental Geography programs. The recipient must be actively involved in protecting the natural environment, show strong academic standing, demonstrate financial need and must be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board Political Science Award
Presented to a full-time student on the basis of academic merit (minimum 70%) deemed most deserving by the department of Political Science. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Ivan and Joy Clysdale Memorial Bursary
Presented annually to a full-time student in the Faculty of Arts and Science on the basis of financial need. The recipient must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Dr. Paul Kelly Scholarship in Fine Arts
Presented annually at Convocation to a deserving graduating student in the Faculty of Arts and Science with a major in Fine Arts, specializing in visual arts, who has excelled in his/her Fine Arts courses. Preference is given to a student who has expressed an intention to pursue graduate studies the following year. The recipient is selected by faculty in the department.

That Beautiful Somewhere Creative Writing Award
Established from the proceeds of the screening of That Beautiful Somewhere, a film based on the novel by Dr. William Plumstead. It is presented to a full-time student majoring in English with a strong academic standing in the Creative Writing: Prose Fiction course (ENGL 3517). The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Ted Chase Award
Established to honour Dr. Ted Chase's dedication, spirit and commitment to education during his 35 years of service at Nipissing University. Presented to a full-time, upper year student registered in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) program who has demonstrated significant, committed involvement to either the arts (music, drama, visual) or athletics (varsity or intramural) while a student at Nipissing University. The recipient must show good academic standing (minimum of 70% overall average) and demonstrate financial need. The recipient must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
