  • Nipissing University Entrance Bursary

    Students currently attending high school who are applying for full-time admission to the first year of an undergraduate degree program at Nipissing University are eligible to apply for this award. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate financial need, must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada and must have lived in Ontario for at least one year. Complete a Nipissing University Application for Entrance Awards, available on our website in early March. Deadline: May 1.

  • Margaret Frith Memorial Award

    Presented annually to a continuing full-time Faculty of Arts and Science student with a minimum average of 75%. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Complete a Web Bursary application, available on Web Advisor beginning October 1. Deadline: 4:00 pm November 1.

  • Bertrand Wheeler Architecture Inc. College Admission Award

    Presented annually to two new full-time Nipissing University students who attended an Ontario CAAT (College of Applied Art and Technology) during the previous academic year. Eligible students are considered based on two factors: 1) a minimum overall B+ average from College, and 2) evidence of financial need. The recipient must be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Complete a Web Bursary application, available on Web Advisor beginning October 1. Deadline: 4:00 pm November 1.

  • Carl Sanders Upper Year Scholarship

    Awarded to full-time students, admitted prior to September 2022, entering second, third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree program at Nipissing, with a maximum of three years eligibility. Students will receive a $500 scholarship if they attain a minimum average of 80%, $750 if they attain a minimum average of 85% or $1000 if they attain a minimum average of 90% on their top 24 credits over the previous Fall/Winter session at Nipissing. Refer to the "weighted average" link on our website for further eligibility requirements. Students in the Concurrent Education program can only hold the scholarship in their "non-Professional" study years. Students in the BSCN.SPP and Consecutive Education programs do not qualify for this scholarship. This scholarship will not exceed the value of a student's Fall/Winter tuition fees. Students may not simultaneously hold any of the following: Chancellor's Award, NU Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship, NU First Robotics Scholarship, President's Scholarship, Upper Year Carl Sanders Award or Schulich Scholarship.

  • Tembec Citizenship Awards

    Presented to selected students entering second, third or fourth year at Nipissing University with at least an overall "B" average, who are in one or more of the following categories: 1) they devote significant efforts to volunteer activities to benefit the North Bay or Nipissing University community; 2) they display admirable leadership qualities in the community, in student government, or in other student activities; 3) they actively participate in extra-curricular activities. Selection of the successful candidate is made by the Undergraduat Student Services and Awards Committee. The recipients must demonstrate financial need and be residents of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Nominations are requested from the University community(faculty, staff, and students) in October.
