Provincial Chapter of Ontario IODE Award
Presented to a student entering his/her third year of the Bachelor of Arts degree program with a major in Sociology. The recipient must demonstrate financial need.

Ptarmigan Mining Award
Presented to two full-time students who have been employed within the mining sector or who are the children of a mining sector employee. The recipients must have a strong academic record (minimum 75%), demonstrate involvement in extra-curricular activities and financial need. Past recipients of the award may reapply for a second award. The recipient must also be an Ontario resident as defined by OSAP. The recipient must also be an Ontario resident as defined by OSAP.

Laurentian Community Veterans Association Award
This award is presented on the basis of academic merit to a first year full-time student who was a graduate of Chippewa Secondary School in the previous year. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board English Studies Award
Presented to a second, third or fourth year full-time student as an English Studies major with a minimum 70% average. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board Geography Award
Presented to a full-time student in second, third or fourth year of a Geography major (minimum 70%) deemed to be most deserving by the Geography Department. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board History Award
Presented to a second, third or fourth year full-time student of a History major on the basis of academic merit (minimum 70% average). The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Dr. Robert L. Cassidy Award in English Studies
Awarded annually in June to the graduating student, in third or fourth year English Studies (including students in the final year of Concurrent Education), with an excellent academic record and demonstrated financial need who will be continuing her/his studies at either a faculty of education or a graduate school. The faculty in the English Studies department selects the most deserving applicant. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Boart Longyear Award in Environmental Geography
Awarded to a returning student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Environmental Geography. The recipient must be in good academic standing based on courses taken in the previous year as a full-time student at Nipissing. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
