​Anyone planning a trip to London, England, this summer has the opportunity to enjoy some NU-related culture by visiting the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition where Dr. Dennis Geden, associate professor of Fine Arts, is exhibiting his painting, Ralph Smith: Trapper.

Today, we are pleased to present the Right Honourable David Johnston and Mrs. Sharon Johnston, who were conferred Nipissing’s highest distinction, an honorary degree, during the convocation ceremony in Brantford on June 5.

Nipissing’s new turf field is already seeing action in advance of the Lakers soccer and lacrosse seasons, with North Bay Youth Soccer utilizing it this summer while construction continues for some the additional features.

Nipissing University is honouring three exceptional individuals at the annual Alumni Awards celebration: Jennifer Conley (nee Seguin), Chief Advancement Officer and President and CEO of the Carleton University Foundation, is receiving the Dr. James Jamieson Influential Alumni Award; Annie Sumi, singer-songwriter and ethereal-folk artist, receives the Rising Star Alumni Award; and Dr. Matti Saari, Professor of Psychology, will be named an Honorary Alumni.
