Dr. Helen Langford Scholarship
Presented annually to a student in the Primary/Junior division of the Bachelor of Education program who has demonstrated academic excellence and exemplary teaching practices. This scholarship was established in honour of Dr. Langford's passionate and enthusiastic dedication to education and most notably her kind and gentle manner in the classroom, making her students feel welcome and comfortable. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Alan and Joyce Johnson Scholarship
Established to honour Alan (1925-1994), the first Dean of the Faculty of Education, and his wife Joyce (1925-2009), an ardent supporter of the local arts community. Two scholarships are presented to Indigenous students graduating from either the Bachelor of Education program, the Indigenous Teacher Education Program (ITEP), the Indigenous Classroom Assistant Diploma Program (ICADP), or the Teacher of Indigenous Language as a Second Language (TILSL). Recipients must intend to go on to teach in an Indigenous community, be in strong academic standing, and demonstrate financial need. The application can be found in the "Forms and Applications" section of the Student Financial Services website; deadline: March 15th. Recipients will be selected by the Schulich School of Education Awards committee. Deadline: March 15th.

Peter Ryback Bursary
Presented to a Bachelor of Education student in his/her second year on the basis of financial need. The recipient must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Complete a Awards Month application, available on Web Advisor beginning October 1. Deadline: 4:00 pm November 1.

Class of 1946 - Miss Grace Morgan Bursary
Established by the North Bay Normal School Class of 1946 in memory of their teacher, Miss Grace Morgan, this bursary is presented to a full-time student in the Bachelor of Education Primary/Junior Division who demonstrates financial need and who is a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Complete a Awards Month application, available on Web Advisor beginning October 1. Deadline: 4:00 pm November 1.

William and Helen Wright Native Teaching Award
Presented to a deserving student graduating from the Schulich School of Education who expresses a sincere desire to teach in Native Communities or other remote areas of Canada. Students are nominated by the Faculty. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Elijah Tupling Memorial Award
Established in memory of Elijah Tuplin (BEd 08/09) and awarded to a pre-service teacher who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to the BEd program, shows empathy and strong interpersonal skills. Awarded on the basis of financial need, the recipient must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP.

Dr. Elizabeth Thorn Award in Education
Awarded to selected students in the Primary-Junior Division of the full-time Bachelor of Education program with a minimum admittance average of 80%. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and be residents of Ontario as defined by OSAP.
