North Bay, ON – A familiar face is back at the head of the boardroom table at Nipissing University. Marianne Berube, who previously served as Chair of the Board of Governors from 2015-17, was elected back to the position for a one-year term during the Board’s annual general meeting.

Future Nipissing University students will get their first taste of what their university experience will be like during the annual New Student Orientation (NSO). This year, NSO will take place entirely virtually and will launch on Friday, July 10 with a comprehensive online orientation learning module.

Each year during convocation, Nipissing University celebrates the value and importance of its faculty through the awarding of the Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Research, Teaching and Service. Although we are not able to gather for in-person convocation ceremonies at this time, we would like to recognize and congratulate this year’s deserving recipients of the Chancellor’s Awards: 

Nipissing University is set to award six individuals with honorary degrees, the university’s highest distinction, during its Virtual Convocation on June 26, 2020.

Nipissing University researchers are contributing to regional recovery through research. Nipissing University has announced the funding of ten studies that aim to contribute to the recovery of our local community in the post-pandemic world.
