Nipissing welcomes incoming Lakers with virtual New Student Orientation

Future Nipissing University students will get their first taste of what their university experience will be like during the annual New Student Orientation (NSO). This year, NSO will take place entirely virtually and will launch on Friday, July 10 with a comprehensive online orientation learning module.

New Student Orientation provides first-year students the chance to discover essential information about Nipissing. Students will have the opportunity to participate in online learning modules and orientation sessions to help them feel better prepared for the upcoming semester.

Completion of the online learning modules is the first step students take in their New Student Orientation. As students move through each section, they will acquire the tools and knowledge needed to register for courses and will gain an understanding of the student services available to support their transition to Nipissing University.

The online orientation sessions, scheduled throughout the month of July, act as an opportunity for new students to hear from upper-year student leaders about their experiences, how Nipissing University supports students in their transition, and how to get involved on campus.

Programming has also been planned specifically for Lakers Supporters including a live interactive learning opportunity, an online Q&A, digital resources and more.
