Nursing presents visiting scholar lecture
The School of Nursing welcomes visiting scholar Dr. Victoria Smye to campus for a special lecture, titledHealth Equity and Cultural Safety in an Indigenous Context, on January 26, from 9 – 11:30 a.m. in room F210.
Dr. Smye is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing at Western University. Her research interests include: Inequities in access to mental health and addictions care; Indigenous health; women and violence and, in particular, interpersonal and structural violence; critical theoretical perspectives, including exploration and application of the concepts of cultural safety, relational practice, and intersectionality in nursing and health care more broadly.
