Nipissing University, Cambrian College professor wins national award

Killam, a faculty member in both Cambrian’s and Nipissing’s Schools of Nursing, has been chosen as one of the 2023 recipients of a 3M National Teaching Fellowship. -
Nursing prof recognized with Pat Griffin Research Grant
GeneralSchool of NursingResearchThe Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) has announced that Dr. Sandra Goldsworthy, professor in Nipissing University’s School of Nursing, is one of the recipients of the Pat Griffin Research Grants and $15,000 in funding. The Pat Griffin Research Grant supports research with a priority of “Nursing Education Outcomes” from the National Research Priorities for Nursing. -
NU instructor receives CASN Nursing Education Excellence Award
School of NursingGeneralThe Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) has announced that Laura Killam is the recipient of the 2022 CASN Nursing Education Excellence (Non-Tenured) Award. Killam is a part-time instructor at Nipissing University in the Registered Practical Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. She was presented with this award on Monday, November 21 at CASN’s virtual Awards Recognition Event. -

This year's theme, #WeAnswerTheCall, showcases the many roles that nurses play in a patient’s health-care journey. Update on Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program – Canadore College Nipissing University
School of NursingGeneralCanadore College and Nipissing University have agreed to a progression plan for students enrolled in NURS 1027, NURS 2026 and NURS 3217, establishing that students registered in the 2020-2021 academic year have satisfied requirements to progress to the next level of study based on a completion plan that includes adjustments to future clinical courses and some voluntary lab sessions for skill development. -

The Scholar Practitioner Program is an innovative second degree nursing program for university graduates offered in partnership with the Michener Institute of Education at UHN, SickKids Hospital, Toronto Public Health and the University Health Network. -
