Meet student leader William Humphrey
Nipissing students consistently impress as leaders, in the classroom, on campus and in the community. Recently the university celebrated 25 student leaders at the annual Dave Marshall Leadership Awards. Over the coming months, NU News will introduce each student leader to the wider community with a short article discussing their accomplishments and activities. Today, we are pleased profile William Humphrey, a student in the bachelor of science, biology program.
Humphrey is an outgoing, friendly face around Nipissing University and is constantly reminding students of ways to be more involved around campus. He has volunteered for the AskMe Team, Jack.Org, the Nipissing Biology Society, and as a Residence Executive. Beyond this, Humphrey has also worked as a research assistant.
In all of these roles, Humphrey has shown leadership in his ability to encourage other students to get involved in the Nipissing community. He has inspired other students to take on volunteer roles and has helped to mentor other Residence Council executives. Humphrey always puts students first and is committed to the betterment of the Nipissing University community.
Humphrey has acted as an extraordinary role model and has continuously handled challenges in stride. His ability to overcome obstacles has been exemplary and his constantly opportunistic take on life has inspired many.
A kind and approachable person, Humphrey has always been willing to go above and beyond the needs of his positions, and his community.
The Nipissing University community is proud to recognize William Humphrey with a Dave Marshall Leadership Award in the Campus Category.
