Gwynne Dyer speaking at Undergraduate Research Conference
The annual Undergraduate Research Conference at Nipissing University celebrates its tenth anniversary with internationally renowned author, historian and journalist Gwynne Dyer, who will deliver the keynote lecture on Friday, March 24, from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Nipissing Theatre (F213).
Dyer will discuss the root causes of political events currently shaking the world, Donald Trump’s presidency and Brexit. Titled, The Trump Era: Barking up the Wrong Tree, the lecture will discuss the possible negative consequences of the Brexit and Trump votes and the reasons why those voters will ultimately be disappointed. Dyer will also talk about challenges for the post-Trump generation, as more jobs continue to be lost to automation, and how that could affect rich countries much differently than developing countries.
Dyer’s lecture is free of charge and open to everyone; however, seating is limited and registration is required. To register for the Gwyne Dyer keynote lecture, please click here.
