Students working to end human trafficking

Every Wednesday in March, Alpha Phi Sigma students will be in the Education Centre Hallway to raise awareness about human trafficking and to collect very specific donations of gently used or new bras and unwanted cellphones.

Bras that are donated will be sent around the world to aid survivors of sex trafficking start their own business selling second had clothing. For more information visit: freethegirls.org

Donated cellphones will be sent to the organization Walk With Me Canada Victim Services, based out of Hamilton, Ontario. For more information on this organization visit: walkwithme.org

It’s all part of Alpha Phi Sigma’s campaign to raise awareness of the growing issue of human trafficking, to change the perception of what human trafficking is and to relate to students on the Nipissing campus.
