Prospective students rave about NU Open House
Nipissing rolled out the red carpet recently to welcome a few hundred prospective students and their families, who came to campus for March Open House to discover why NU is right where they belong.Guests arrived from all over Ontario March 20 and 21 for the opportunity to explore the campus, tour the state-of-the-art laboratories and discuss academic programs and student services with faculty, staff and current students.
Nipissing’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts lit up all weekend with positive comments from students about their experience at March Open House.
At least one parent emailed to thank the university for a great Open House:
“We had been to other university Open Houses, but this one blew us out of the water...for me Nipissing is my first choice!!!! LOL and I am the mother. Actually, all kidding aside, my son now has Nipissing as his first choice. He started out quite nervous in attending, but left feeling part of the community.”
“Open House was very successful this year, and that is a testament to the dedication of our faculty and volunteers who do such a great job communicating with students and parents about the university, our academic programs and the community that exists here,” said Carla Tucker, Nipissing’s senior student recruitment officer. “Guests were especially impressed with how welcoming everyone is, and faculty and students play a key role in establishing those first impressions.”
