International researchers come to Nipissing for discussion

The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics is excited to host discussions this week featuring researchers from around the world. The series featured Dr. Yasunao Hattori, president of Shimane University in Japan, who spoke on Tuesday. Dr. Dana Bartošová from the University of São Paulo in Brazil, speaks today. Mitchell Haslehurst, Nipissing undergraduate summer research student also got the opportunity to present on Tuesday just prior to President Hattori’s talk titled Transfinite separation dimension and related spaces.

"Nipissing University has a very strong Computer Science and Mathematics department, focused on teaching, learning and research,” said Dr. Harley d'Entremont, Vice President, Academic and Research at Nipissing. “This strength allows us to attract international leaders to our campus for events such as the research talks."
