Dr. Tabachnick publishes article in The Globe and Mail
Dr. David Tabachnick continues his busy writing schedule while on sabbatical this year. The Professor of political science at Nipissing University has recently published another article, titled Canada’s reputation for tolerance may fuel U.S. border anxiety, in The Globe and Mail.
In the article, Dr. Tabachnick suggests that Canada’s reputation for tolerance and embrace of multiculturalism and the values that support the Liberal’s refugee policy, may seem frightening to many Americans as the past fifteen years of “the war on terrorism” has provoked a disturbing nativist turn in much of the U.S. where all foreigners are distrusted.
