Congratulations to Dr. Rick Vanderlee
Congratulations to Nipissing’s Dr. Rick Vanderlee, Dean of Applied and Professional Studies, on being appointed member of the Ontario Health Quality Council's Board of Directors.
Health Quality Ontario (HQO) is the province’s advisor on quality. HQO works in partnership with Ontario’s health care system to support a better experience of care, better outcomes for Ontarians and better value for money. Health Quality Ontario’s legislated mandate under the Excellent Care for All Act,2010 is to monitor and report to the people of Ontario on the quality of their health care system, support continuous quality improvement, and promote health care that is supported by the best available scientific evidence. HQO has a mandate that is unique in the world; with responsibility for Evidence Development and Standards, Continuous Quality Improvement and Health System Performance Monitoring and Reporting.
While HQO’s mandate may be wide in scope, its success in the future will be measured by its ability to focus and partner with the system; not only to deliver on its mandate for the benefit of the people of Ontario, but also to address the continually evolving priorities within the health system and support the achievement of common goals over the long term.
