Royal visit to Nipissing
It’s not every day that royalty comes to campus! Nipissing University is getting some royal treatment as the university is honoured to host a visit from Her Royal Highness The Princess Edward, Countess of Wessex, on Friday, September 19.
Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex will speak on the topic of Aboriginal Education at 2:30 p.m.
Other invited speakers include the Hon. Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario, and Her Honour Ruth-Ann Onley. Lieutenant-Governor Designate Elizabeth Dowdeswell will also be in attendance.
Tickets for this auspicious event will be available to Nipissing students, faculty and staff via a lottery. Register via Web Advisor by midnight on September 10 to get your seat for this historic event!
The Countess of Wessex is the wife of Prince Edward, fourth child and third son of Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke Of Edinburgh.The Countess and Prince Edward married on June 19,1999. The Countess Of Wessex is an active member of the Royal Family and performs various Royal functions throughout the year.
