Opening doors for prospective students
Think you might belong at Nipissing University? Mark this Saturday, October 25, on your calendar, that’s the day the university hosts its Fall Open House, an annual event welcoming prospective students, their families and friends to campus, to discover first-hand what sets Nipissing apart.
"Many students will have read our student guide, or visited our booth at the recent Ontario University Fair, or learned about Nipissing from their guidance counsellor, but there’s really nothing that compares to visiting our campus,” said Gemma Victor, manager of student recruitment. “We are a close-knit community of learners in a beautiful, inspiring setting that offers amazing academic and extra-curricular opportunities. I encourage anyone to come and discover Nipissing University for themselves.”
Guests will enjoy the North Bay campus in late-fall splendour and experience some of the sense of community that exists from current students and faculty. They’ll visit the state-of-the-art laboratory and classroom space that exists on campus, discover some of the groundbreaking research that Nipissing’s faculty are engaged in, and have a tour of the award-winning library and the top-ranked residences in Canada. Guests will also start making connections with future classmates, friends and collaborators, as well as their future professors to talk about research interests and academic passions.
For students interested in Nipissing’s beautiful Muskoka campus, the university will be hosting an Open House in Muskoka on November 1.
There is still time for students to register for Open House at www.ibelongatNipissingU.ca. Students who are interested in learning more about the university are welcome to attend without registering in advance.
