NU hosts Guide-Scout Science Day

Last weekend, Nipissing University hosted its first ever Guide-Scout Science Day, welcoming some 200 guests to campus for some wonderful science activities courtesy the Arts and Science faculty members.Open to children age 5 to 17, the science labs were a buzz of activity with the girls and boys aged 8 and up rotating through eight different sessions lead by enthusiastic faculty.  Younger participants filled the small cafeteria and a few classrooms learning science from Guiding session leaders. The day ended with a closing ceremony to celebrate Thinking Day, the joint birthday of the founders of Scouting and Guiding. Each youth member also got to bring home some Nipissing University swag, including tattoos, locker mirrors and lanyards.?
