Follow students applying knowledge in Jamaica
Nipissing students are ready to hit Jamaica in February to apply the research skills and management theories they’ve learned in class while assisting Jamaican businesses.
The group of 15 students and three faculty members departed for Jamaica on February 14, and will return to North Bay on February 24. They’ll be working with two businesses: Great Huts Resort, an Eco-resort, on Jamaica’s North East Coast to assist in recruitment and retention, training and development; and with Portland Rehabilitations Management, a homeless shelter and mental health rehabilitation centre in North East Jamaica to raise awareness about mental health and the profile of shelter and assist with fundraising.
You can follow along in the group’s activities through their blog, their Facebook page, and through Twitter: @iLEADJamaica.
