Connecting students with jobs
Nipissing University and Canadore College students will meet future employers and business leaders at the annual career fair on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The event is fully subscribed, with over 30 employers from the North Bay region and across the province representing key industries including business, finance, health care and government. Students will have the opportunity to network and get their resumes in the hands of recruiters from the Canadian Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Ontario Provincial Police and Deerhurst Resort, just to name a few.
The fair allows job-seeking students and graduates with the opportunity to connect with employers looking to fill a variety of full-time, part-time, internships and summer vacancies.
“This is a great opportunity for our students to break into their chosen career,” said Trina St. Jacques, Canadore College Career Centre and Student Life Advisor. “Canadore is dedicated to providing our students with a quality education and the skills needed to be highly-employable. This is one of the most effective ways to bring our talented students together with employers.”
“Supporting our students is paramount at Nipissing University, and that includes help establishing a career as well as summer employment opportunities. The annual job fair is a great way for students and employers to connect,” said Lianne Gagné, Student Employment Officer at Nipissing. “The fact that the fair attracts so many employers is a testament to the reputation of our students.”
