Pink the Rink with Lakers women’s hockey

This Saturday, November 9, the Lakers women’s hockey team will Pink the Rink at Memorial Gardens to help raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer research. Dig out your finest pink regalia and support your Lakers women’s hockey team who will be taking on the Waterloo Warriors on the ice, while simultaneously battling breast cancer in the stands. The puck drops at 3:30 p.m. but there is lots of action prior to puck drop with lots of activities and some awesome prizes.

Pink game jerseys will be sold via silent auction.

All proceeds from the event are going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. This Pink the Rink event is an initiative of the third-year Sports Marketing class at Nipissing University.

Tickets cost $5 for Nipissing students, children and seniors; $7.50 for non-Nipissing students; and $10 for adults.

Tickets will be for sale on campus in the student centre hallway from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
