Nursing students teaching brain safety
Nipissing University Nursing students are at King George Public School on Wednesday, March 27, teaching grade 4-6 students about the importance of helmet safety and protecting their brain. The third-year Community Health Nursing students are working in collaboration with Parachute/ThinkFirst and CCPIP for Brain Day. They will be running fun, interactive activities that teach youngsters about the brain, the five senses and proper helmet safety.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Nipissing University Nursing Society, the Nursing students are able to provide helmets to students in each of the classes in which they present. They are presenting to students across the Nipissing District.
