NU students wrap up in Jamaica
Nipissing students have completed their work on the North coast of Jamaica, where they got the chance to apply the research skills and management theories learned in class to assist a small-scale eco-tourism destination.You can check out the group’s activities through theirblog, theirFacebook page, and through Twitter: @iLEADJamaica.
The group of 11 students and four faculty members departed for Jamaica on February 13, and are currently returning to North Bay.
The students worked with Green Castle Estates to assist in their move to becoming eco-certified as a Jamaican Eco Destination. The students also consulted on methods that Green Castle Estates can use to become more self-sufficient and sustainable in food production.
The students were joined by faculty members: Prof. Linda Piper, Dr. Natalya Brown, Dr. John Knox and Dr.Anahit Armenakyan.
