Nipissing left a positive mark at the Ontario Council of University Lifelong Learning Annual Meeting
Nipissing University was well represented at the annual general meeting for the Ontario Council of University Lifelong Learning (OCULL) by members from the Centre for Flexible Teaching and Learning department (CFTL). OCULL is a professional association for administrators and practitioners involved in the development and delivery of continuing education and lifelong learning opportunities at Ontario universities.Dr. Lorraine Carter, Luke Durrer and Gavin Park from the CFTL attended the meeting held in Cambridge, ON, on October 17 & 18. They left a positive impression on the OCULL community through their leadership on a number of peer reviewed presentations and other activities.
Gavin Park moderated the opening day panel discussion on the topic “The Future of Post-Secondary Education”, and was also elected to the OCULL executive as a Member-at-large. Park and Durrer also took part in the Instructional Design Roundtable, with Park moderating the discussion.
Dr. Carter participated in the session “Resilience in Leadership: Lessons Learned” and followed with another session, co-delivered with Durrer and Park, on “Instructor Support Models for Post-Secondary Online Learning.”
