Lakers men’s volleyball beat Seneca, advance to provincials

The Nipissing Lakers men’s volleyball have advanced to the OCAA Championship at Sheridan College Feb 21-23 after a dominating 3-0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-10) sweep of the Seneca Sting in their sudden death cross-over playoff match.The Nipissing Lakers men's volleyball team is now looking to make history, chasing the elusive OCAA gold medal.
The Lakers will not have an easy road to gold, but tough competition all year long has prepared the team for the championships.
The Lakers are healthy again and will face off against the top team in the West division - the Niagara Knights.
The Lakers finished the season with a 12-6 record finishing fourth in the tough West division. The Knights started off the season slowly, but gained momentum and finished in the top spot with a 14-4 record.
