Dr. Nosko presenting on Kew Garden
Nipissing Biology professor Dr. Peter Nosko is giving the keynote address at the Heritage Gardners' Annual Volunteer Appreciation/ Gardening Symposium at the Pinewood Clarion Resort in North Bay on April 21 at 10:30 a.m.
Dr. Nosko’s presentation is titled Kew: the Ultimate Garden. In it he will give a broad overview, including the history, mission and programs, of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew in west London, United Kingdom. One of the world’s leading horticultural research centres, the 132 hectare Kew Gardens dates back to 1759 and is home to about 50,000 different plant species, collected from all over the globe for study and conservation.
