Convocation honouring faculty and staff

Convocation ceremonies are just around the corner at Nipissing University. It’s a time to celebrate students as they complete one portion of their life-long journey seeking knowledge and experience. Convocation is also a time to celebrate some of the people at Nipissing who make continued and lasting contributions to that journey, the university’s dedicated faculty and staff.

On Friday, June 14, during the 9:30 a.m. ceremony, Nipissing will recognize Dr. David Tabachnick, Associate Professor of Political Science, with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Research; Ken Stange, psychology lecturer (retired), with the Professor Emeritus designation; and Christine Jenkins, Executive Assistant to the President and Secretary of Senate, with the Staff Award for Exceptional Performance and Service.

During the 2 p.m. ceremony on Friday, June 14, Nipissing will honour Dr. Jeffrey Nicol, Assistant Professor of Psychology, with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching; Corina Irwin, Biology Laboratory Instructor, with the CASBU Award for Excellence in Part-Time Teaching; and Pat Czaikowski, Registrar Clerk with the Staff Award for Exceptional Performance and Service.

Congratulations to each of these committed individuals who all make a significant and positive contribution to the experience of attending Nipissing University.
