Celebrate World Religion Day
Dr. Susan Srigley, Chair of Nipissing University’s Religions and Cultures program is hosting World Religion Day in North Bay on Sunday, January 20, at 2 p.m. at the Elk’s Lodge (325 Elks Lane).
The theme of the day is The Power of Unity. The event features guest speakers from our local religious communities: Native Spirituality, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Baha'i and Judaism.
The purpose of World Religion Day is to call attention to the harmony of beliefs and spiritual principles that all religions have in common, as well as to encourage people to allow faith to become a motivating force for world peace and unity.
All are welcome, and refreshments will be served.?
