Campus bookstore Grand Opening
Nipissing University and Canadore College celebrated the grand opening of their new and improved retail book store last week. The store’s new location is twice the size of the previous shop, allowing for a larger variety of stock and easier shopping for clients.
“We are extremely pleased to work with our valued partner, Follett of Canada, to give our students a more attractive, diverse, and of course, functional book store,” said Canadore College President George Burton. “By working with Follett, we have been able to serve our students better and help them save money through their flexible textbook rental options.”
“Nipissing is very happy that our students have this terrific store where they can conveniently purchase or rent their books and celebrate their alma mater,” said Casey Phillips, Director of Student Development and Services.“Nipissing is dedicated to offering our students the best services possible, and today’s opening helps us realize that commitment.”
Approximately two years ago, Follett of Canada introduced a new Rent-A-Text program. Student savings exceed the $60 million mark at over 780 bookstore locations in North America.
