Undergraduate Math Competition
Undergraduate Math Competition Taking Place March 2 – Open to all 1st or 2nd year students The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics invites you to take part in the first Nipissing University Undergraduate Mathematics Competition taking place March 2, 2012 in room A224 from 9a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will compete in solving challenging math problems. The competition is open to all Nipissing students who are in their 1st or 2nd year of studies (not limited to math majors). The problems will not require anything beyond the knowledge of single variable or multivariable calculus, introductory linear algebra, introductory discrete mathematics, and elementary probability theory.

There are Prizes to be won!
First prize winner will receive $200; second prize is $100 and third prize is $50. The organizers reserve the right to award only one or two prizes out of three possible.
