The Royal Canadian Geographic Society (RCGS) is featuring a group of Nipissing University students on its website. The biology students, Emily Gray, Sara Laplante and Kerri Moreau-Sawyer, are working in Newfoundland’s Gros Morne National Park, conducting research on the role of site conditions and moose browsing pressure in the regeneration failure of balsam fir forests.
They received a research grant from the RCGS to help fund the project. Additional funding was provided by the Nipissing University Faculty Association and the Talon Research Assistantship Grants.
