Lakers hockey tickets now on sale
Get your tickets! The Nipissing University Lakers men’s hockey team is pleased to announce season tickets for the 2012-13 season are now on sale, and as a bonus to fans, the team is electing to keep prices in line with last season.
The puck drops to start the regular season on Friday, October 12, when the Lakers host the UQTR Patriotes at Memorial Gardens at 7 p.m. The Lakers will play 14 regular season home games, plus four preseason games and many playoff games* (to be confirmed).
The full regular season schedule is in the final stages of development and will be released soon.
"Season tickets are a great value for our fans," said Gary Davison, Lakers vice-president of sales and marketing. "There are no lineups and you get your same great seats for every game. The team plays exciting, fast hockey. Treat yourself and your loved ones to a Lakers season tickets package, it makes a fantastic Fathers’ Day present.”
This season, Lakers will be looking to build on their success of the past three seasons, and to play deeper into the post season after a first-round upset in 2012 left them wanting more.
Lakers Season Ticket packages can be ordered from the Memorial Gardens Box Office (100 Chippewa St. W, tel: 705-474-3770). The package includes all four pre-season games, all 14 regular season games and the first home playoff game. Regular Box Office hours are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The cost for the Lakers Season Ticket package is: Adult $210; Seniors (60+) and Students $146; and Children (12 and under) $108. All taxes included in the above pricing.
Tickets for individual games will be on sale in mid-August. Costs for individual games are: Adult $12.50; Seniors (65+) and Student $8.75; and Children - $6.50.
The Nipissing Lakers are also pleased to welcome Matt Sookram to the office. Sookram will be assisting Davison with ticket sales as well as game day operations.
“Matt has a sharp mind and a lot of potential. He’s a welcome addition to the team and I am looking forward to working with him,” said Davison.
