Holocaust survivors speaking at Nipissing Brantford
Nipissing University’s Brantford campus is hosting a special presentation featuring Holocaust survivors discussing their involvement in the Oral History Project on Thursday, December 1, from 5 – 7 p.m. at 50 Wellington Street.
The Oral History Project involves students from Crestwood Preparatory College in Toronto interviewing survivors and veterans of war to document and archive their stories and memorabilia. The project ensures that these individual’s memories are kept alive as historical documents, while also providing students the opportunity to gain insight into the experiences associated with war.
Nipissing Brantford will welcometwo Holocaust survivors for the presentation, Denise Hans and Arnold Friedman, who will present on the impact of their involvement in the project. They will also recount their experiences as survivors and provide insight into why they continue to share their experiences.
