The ROMA Award

The ROMA Award at Nipissing University recognizes students who have roots in rural communities and a commitment to supporting them. Two recipients will be selected annually, each receiving $2,500. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: • Be enrolled at Nipissing University in any year of study and any program. • Be a Canadian citizen. • Come from a rural community as defined by Statistics Canada. • Answer the supplementary question: “How will you use your degree to advocate for or create solutions to address issues impacting rural Ontario?” Deadline for application: November 1 Complete a Awards Month application, available on Web Advisor beginning October 1. Deadline: 9:00 am November 1.
