Congratulations to Dr. Thomas Ryan, who has been invited by the Provincial and Territorial Distance Education Association to be a keynote speaker at the Alberta Distance Learning Centre this October in Edmonton, Alberta.

Ontario’s universities laid out today their role as active and willing partners in securing a more vibrant and prosperous future for students, communities and the province, in a new report called Partnering for a Better Future for Ontario.

A trio of Nipissing University professors have earned prestigious Canada Research Chairs (CRC) totalling $1.5 million over five years. The research contributes to our understanding of how watersheds work, examines the educational challenges facing youth and families in northern and rural areas, and investigates the consequences of the linked environmental history and consequences of Ontario’s Near North and the Caribbean.

Nipissing University bids farewell to Dr. Sharon Rich, Associate Vice-President, Academic, who will retire on December 31, 2015.

We are pleased to announce that representatives of the Nipissing University Faculty Association (NUFA) and the University administration have reached a tentative agreement that will allow students to return to classes on Monday, November 30, 2015.
