Here’s an abstract:
As a model for teaching and learning, Nipissing’s multi-professorial interdisciplinary Concept Courses, Dirt, Slot, Secrets, Water and Genius, complement disciplinary education from the perspective of both teacher and student. Bringing together an average of twelve disciplines per offering, the courses provide a rich occasion for students and professors to experience the benefits of intellectual engagement and collaboration. The courses function as a powerful pedagogical tool, allowing classroom dynamics to mimic the real world conditions of inter-professional, team driven problem solving that many students can expect to find in the workforce.?
