Nursing students building community health
Nurses consistently make tremendous contributions to community health, and nursing students in the Nipissing/Canadore collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program are already making a difference in their community. Over the past three months, third-year Community Health Nursing students have been working in collaboration with community organizations to promote healthy lifestyle strategies, strengthen community capacity and increase awareness and access to available services in North Bay and the surrounding area.
The students will be presenting their community-based work on Wednesday, December 4, from 10 a.m. – noon in the 100 Elements Canadore College Dining Room (D102).
They will be presenting their work to community partners, preceptors, nursing faculty and peers. Presentations will demonstrate the actual and potential connections between community agencies.
