Nipissing Brantford hosts sessions for teachers
Nipissing University’s Brantford campus had two very successful sessions on the topic of Natural Curiosity: An Inquiry-Based Resource for Teachers from the Dr. Jackman Institute of Child Studies at OISE/UT.
The sessions were held on October 17 for students in the Bachelor of Education program, and on November 7 for educators from area school boards, college Early Childhood programs and school Early Learning teams.
Over 150 attendees enjoyed the presentation describing an inquiry-based project involving children in open-ended activities to discover and appreciate the environment. Participants all received a copy of the resource material and were very appreciative of the interactive and engaging presentation.
