The evening of Saturday, January 14, was amazing. The Nipissing theatre was absolutely full, and we had great representation from our community and local leaders for Many Voices: Exploring Northern Realities and Supporting Attawapiskat. The message was clear; there is massive talent among First Nations and Aboriginal peoples and they are enriching the world.

Nipissing University’s history department welcomes one of Canada’s preeminent historians, Dr. Ian McKay, to North Bay for two engaging discussions.
On Wednesday, January 25, Mckay will participate in a panel discussion with Nipissing University professor Dr. Larry Patriquin, titled Unite the Left North Bay?

Recently, the third induction ceremony for the Mu Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma was held at Nipissing University.During the ceremony, eight Criminal Justice majors were inducted into the Chapter. The students represented a cross section from the Policing, Criminal Justice, and Criminology streams of the Criminal Justice program. It was attended by other students, Mu Kappa members, Criminal Justice faculty, and the dean of the Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies.
