The Undergraduate Research Conference celebrates the contributions of undergraduate research at Nipissing University and across Ontario.

Three Minute Thesis Competition

3MT® is a university wide competition for Masters and Doctoral students in which participants present their research and its wider impact in 3 minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges.

  • Dr. Wachowiak earns research award

    Dr. Mark Wachowiak, associate professor in computer science and mathematics, is the kind of person who is always ready to lend a hand, especially if it involves interdisciplinary computational science. The recipient of the 2017 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Research is involved in many interdisciplinary, multi-institution collaborative research projects, as a team lead and co-researcher, both within, and external to, Nipissing University.

    Dr. Kirsten Greer, Canada Research Chair in Global Environmental Histories and Geographies and assistant professor of Geography and History, recently led a research team to the American Society of Environmental Historians Conference (ASEH) in Chicago and to the American Association of Geographers (AAG) Annual Meeting in Boston.
