Homecoming 2023 set for September 22-24

It’s time to come home, Lakers! Nipissing alumni, students and community members are invited to Homecoming 2023 taking place Friday, September 22 to Sunday, September 24. With an action-packed weekend of activities planned, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to reconnect with your fellow Lakers and the University. Celebrations kick-off on Friday, September 22 with a bonfire hosted by Enjii giigdoyang, the Office of Indigenous Initiatives, as well as a Flashback Friday Campus Tour, Alumni Beer Tasting hosted by Gateway City Brewery, and Blue & Green Bar Night at the Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) Student Centre.

The fun continues on Saturday, September 23 at the Homecoming BBQ and Beer Garden at the Nipissing Artificial Turf Field complete with KidZone Activities. Be sure to don your green and blue to cheer on the Lakers varsity athletes as they compete in various games throughout the weekend.

Saturday’s festivities will conclude with  a Y2K: 90s/00s Bar Night at the NUSU Student Centre. A goodbye breakfast on Sunday morning will wrap up Homecoming 2023 weekend.

“Homecoming weekend is jam-packed with activities for everyone and we can’t wait to welcome alumni back to campus to relive their Nipissing experience,” shared Bridgette Perron, Alumni Relations Coordinator at Nipissing University.

All Homecoming events are free however some events require registration.
