Bell Let’s Talk campaign at Nipissing
Nipissing University is partnering with Canadore College and Jack.org for the Bell Let's Talk campaign on Wednesday, January 28, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Education Centre Hallway. The partnership is aiming to start a conversation that will end stigmas surrounding mental health.
Did you know that one in five Canadians experience mental illness at some point in their lives?
Bell Let's Talk is a wide-reaching, multi-year program designed to break the silence around mental illness and support mental health all across Canada.
Students will have a chance to win prizes including a Lakers Prize Pack from Nipissing and Jack.org by retweeting "You're more than a body in lecture. Student Development & Services (B210) has your back. We're having the conversation. #BellLetsTalk."
This year’s Bell Let’s Talk’s campaign focuses on five simple ways we can all help end the stigma around mental illness:
- Language matters
- Educate yourself
- Be kind
- Listen and ask
- Talk about it
Join the conversation because talking is the first step towards change.
