Knock Cystic Fibrosis out of the park at the Shinerama Softball tourney

What’s better on a beautiful, sunny summers day than playing softball? Doing it for a great cause.The Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) will be hosting a Softball tournament on Saturday, July 18, from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex.

The Softball tournament is a charity event to kick off efforts for the annual Shinerama fundraising initiative.  Through Shinerama, Cystic Fibrosis Canada and Canadian universities raise funds for life saving cystic fibrosis research and care.

Participant’s registration includes lunch (hamburger or hot dog and one drink). Winners of the tournament receive their registration fee and NUSU swag as a prize. Proceeds for the event will go towards NUSU’s fundraising goal of $30,000 for Shinerama.

Registration is $255 per team. Teams must consist of 10 people minimum or 14 people maximum. To register for the event, visit the NUSU office or emailinfo@nusu.com.
