Introducing the NUSA executive team

The Nipissing University Student Alumni (NUSA) executive team is pleased to introduce our team and upcoming events.This year, NUSA is changing its name from Nipissing University Student Ambassadors to Nipissing University Student Alumni. While our acronym remains the same this name change better suits our mandate of working with the alumni relations office and Nipissing alumni. The new name is also a better fit with our motto: Students Today Lakers Forever.The 2013-14 executive team:
Rebecca Hazelwood, President;
Makinna McCormick, Vice-President;
Brittany Fisher, Vice-President of Finance; and
Sara Taylor, Vice-President of Events.
NUSA’s first large event is assisting the Alumni Relations Office with Homecoming, as well as planning our annual Nearly Naked Mile. The Nearly Naked Mile is a run in support of Amelia Rising. The event takes place as part of Homecoming, on Saturday October 26 at 2 p.m., and is included in Homecoming registration. Please consider supporting this run for a great cause.
The NUSA office, room A253, is accepting clothing and money donations this week, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to Amelia Rising. Our office will be open for donations on Wednesday 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., and Thursday 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. You can also drop donations off in the Development and Alumni Relations Office, A201. NUSA will also be accepting donations at the run.
