POSITION TITLE:                            Grounds/Facilities Assistant (2)

HOURS OF WORK:                        35 hours per week

RATE OF PAY:                                 $16.55/hour plus Vacation Pay as determined by HR Policy

JOB DESCRIPTION:        

The successful candidate(s) will assist the Nipissing Facilities team and Canadore's Lead Hand responsible for grounds and housekeeping.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

This position will assist with the following:

  • Aid in the maintenance and upkeep of campus grounds, trails, and buildings
  • Help with the relocation of furniture and equipment
  • Support in setting up offices, classrooms, and events
  • Assist with office moves, including packing and organizing office contents for faculty and staff
  • Participate in painting projects
  • Aid in conducting classroom inventories
  • Perform any other assigned duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must apply and be approved for the NUWORK Program
  • Proficiency in outdoor maintenance and grounds keeping tasks
  • Demonstrated experience in painting
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to assist with various tasks as needed
