JOB OPPORTUNITY: ENGINEERING SUMMER STUDENT

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Distribution Coordinator, the successful candidate will work on North Bay Hydro’s Vegetation Management/Tree Planting Program. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience and learn more about our company and the utility industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tree planting (1.5–2m trees).
• Customer consultation for the vegetation management program.
• Records organization, management, and asset inventory.
• Supporting technicians and engineers in their daily activities
Working Conditions:
• Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and uneven
terrain.
• This role involves strenuous, physically demanding activity for extended periods.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Grade 12 Secondary School Graduation Diploma required; enrollment in an
environmental or engineering technologies program is preferred.
• Student Status: Must have attended school full-time during the preceding year and be
registered to attend full-time in the upcoming year (written verification required).
• Licensing: Valid Class “G” driver’s license with the ability to drive a pickup truck with a
trailer.
• Skills: Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
